Musician Vincent Lanty is recognized by some of the biggest names in the music industry for his unique voice and distinct sound. His performances across the globe — throughout Asia and Europe and the United States — have earned him a reputation as the go-to composer and musical director, and perhaps the best composer and musical director in all of France -classically trained and experienced in writing music for orchestras and using acoustic instruments, electronic sounds, synthesizers and music programming. Some of Vincent’s list of musical partners, you have certainly heard of, including the likes of Rihanna, Celine Dion, One Direction and most recently, the French pop-sensation, Lou.
Vincent’s passion for music began at a young age. At only 7 years old, he was admitted to the Conservatoire Superior of Music in Paris. After studying musicology and sound engineering, he began working with some of the industry’s leading producers, including Robin Lemesurier, the producer for Rod Stewart and Tina Turner -and Amy Keys, the producer for Phil Collins, and has also composed and collaborated on albums for Sony Music, Warner Music, Tf1 Music, and Universal Music.
Vincent has also led studio sessions and performed for solo artists, elite orchestras, live bands, and for the NBC hit show, “The Voice.” Most recently this year, Vincent Lanty wrote and produced the single “Qui Pourrait?” for the French music sensation, Lou.
Lou, considered to be one of the most successful young pop stars in France, sold over 100,000 copies of her first album released in 2017, and today has over 1 million subscribers as an online influencer, including 700K on YouTube. The single, “Qui pourrait?” written and composed by Vincent Lanty, has already reached over 1.8 million views on YouTube.
We had the pleasure of listening to “Qui pourrait?”, a song that is reminiscent of Britney Spears‘ first single. The fun, hip beat strikes a familiar but entirely original chord, something rarely heard in pop music and even rarer from such a young pop star. Vincent’s original voice shines through in the single: to our delight, thanks to his training in classical music, the song successfully transports us back to a 90’s bop, while still boasting an intelligent rhythm.
Vincent tells us that he has worked with Lou since 2018, touring with her across France as her music director, composer, and pianist. On her tour across France in 2018, he performed at such historical and major venues as the Olympia and the Trianon, and alongside her on “The Voice” in France.
This, however, is just the beginning for Vincent Lanty and Lou: he will continue on Lou’s tour across Europe to concerts at the Charleroi le Palais des Beaux-Arts, Casino de Paris, Olympia, and the Trianon in Paris.
With a long history of working with superstar artists like Rihanna, Celine Dion and One Direction -and recording stars; Alessia Cara, Little Mix, Rita Ora, Robin Thicke, Nelly Furtado, and Carly Rae Jepsen, we are thrilled to see what’s next for Vincent Lanty.
