The Motels Perform at The Canyon in Montclair as they Celebrate 20 years of Band lineup
The Motels have a lot to be excited about these days. Not only did their dedicated fan base come out to support them in spite of heavy rain in Los Angeles on Friday night, but they also celebrated 20 years of their latest band lineup (which includes Eric Gardner, Clint Walsh and Nicholas Johns).
After a show on Thursday night at Old Town Blues Club in Temecula, The Motels performed at The Canyon in Montclair to an enthusiastic crowd while celebrating being a band for 20 years (with only 2 original founding members remaining — Martha Davis and Marty Jourard — keyboards, saxophone).
Performing some of their hits including Only the Lonely, Total Control, Mission of Mercy and material from their last album (Punchline and Lucky Stars) Martha Davis proves she is still a bad ass with her hauntingly beautiful voice, guitar skills and of course, her infectious personality and sense of humor — which is always a crowd favorite!
Next up The Motels will share the stage at the Cruel World Festival in Pasadena on May 20th, with other artists including Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, Echo and the Bunnymen and more.
