The Incredible Resume’ Of Actor Andres H. Alcocer

It’s interesting how many times actors take years and years to actually make it in the entertainment industry. They get up each morning, go out on auditions throughout the day, either get rejected or get a small part in a film or commercial that will build up their resumé, go home, go to bed and then get up the next morning and do it all over again, and again. Then there is the actor Andres Alcocer, who has done all his due diligence as far as immersing himself for several years in all things acting, including attending the famous Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre. Immediately upon finishing that part of his training, he went out and was cast in several films and commercials.

The telling thing about this very talented and accomplished actor was the short time it took him and his acting skills to be noticed by A-list actors, directors and production companies. When he got a part playing Nicole Kidman’s lover in Big Little Lies, he was working with the best of the best. His character was having lunch with Nicole’s character at a swank eatery while they were being secretly photographed by a third party. That episode, by the way, was helmed by Academy Award winning director Andrea Arnold.

Andres’ foray into the Hollywood movie scene has also garnered him some terrific reviews along with a Best Actor trophy for his performance in the 2020 Breath of Life film. It did well on the festival circuit and he won that prestigious award at the European Cinematography Awards. Some of the other projects Andres has performed in are: Inspector Bros, is the story of two nerds, who, in a city filled with celebrity look-alike criminals, absent-mindedly bring the police force to its knees.

He played the character Jorge Matas in the film Shadow of the Gun, and in the TV series Entre Dos he plays Alex in a story about a Mexican couple who move to Los Angeles to pursue their careers and try to keep their love alive while struggling in the fast-paced and somewhat hectic big city. Andres was also the Executive Produer on Entre Dos. Andres Alcocer is a steadily working actor and that’s the way he likes it. He has a busy schedule already this year and that’s the way most actors want it to be.
