The Heath Ledger Scholarship Dinner Took Place At The Chateau Marmont In West Hollywood

Aussie actors, writers and filmmakers from both TV and film came out in support of the Heath Ledger Scholarship Dinner on September 20th at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. In it’s 10th year, this wonderful opportunity for budding actors, was presented by Bird in Hand Winery, Heath Ledger’s family and Australians in Film.

The Heath Ledger Scholarship which started in 2008 was established in memory of the late actor who was also an ambassador for the program which supports young and emerging talent. The prize is awarded to help those start a career in the film industry while also helping to break their careers in Hollywood.

Australian actress Abbie Cornish who starred in the 2006 movie Candy opposite Heath Ledger and Brides of Christ actress Kym Wilson, were among the guests who turned up in support of the dinner. Also, at the event were Heath’s family members father Kim Ledger, his sister Kate Ledger and mother Sally Bell.
