Brooke Burke hosted the Zodiac Ball benefitting COSF

What a night! Hope you made it to the Zodiac Ball. It was a night to remember.

Children’s Oncology Support Fund (COSF) hosted the inaugural Zodiac Ball at the Houdini Estate in Los Angeles. The founder of COSF, Thomas Pierce, said on stage, “During the pandemic, live events were paused, foundations struggled, grants were hard to come by. I knew now was the time to step up and call in the troops and thus, COSF was born. In January we launched with Aspen Snowball, and I’m privileged to bring you all here tonight.”

The celestial surrealism-themed evening was generously supported by Presenting Sponsor Balmain and was hosted by cancer survivor, entrepreneur and fitness educator Brooke Burke alongside vice chairs for the evening, businessman and philanthropist Barron N. Hilton and model and philanthropist Tessa Hilton. Other celebrities in attendance were, Kate Beckinsale, Tara Reid, Sam Asghari, William Abadie, Mohamed Hadid, Jason Oppenheimer, Carly Chaikin and Harley Quinn Smith.

The evening’s proceeds will support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Music Therapy and Artist in Residence programs, along with Child Life Support Services for kids facing cancer and other illnesses or injuries.

Event host Brooke Burke shared, “I’m very honored Thomas [Pierce] asked me to be here tonight and support COSF and the amazing work they do. I am a mom of four with two stepchildren, and I can’t imagine if I heard the words, “your child has cancer.” So, when I was asked to support COSF I couldn’t resist. Its causes like these that sustain critical donor dependent programs that can’t get funding from government grants. Tonight, we are raising money for children battling cancer. It’s that simple.”

Tessa Hilton stated, “It brings me to tears to think of a family that has to hear the news that their baby has to go through this therapy. It’s so important to support COSF because they’re really finding alternative therapies — ways to keep providing some sort of normalcy to these children who are undergoing pediatric cancer [treatment].”

Sam Asghari had this to share: “When it comes to children, it breaks my heart if I see that they’re battling something, especially if they have to go through this alone. Most of the families, it shatters their hearts.”

The Houdini Estate was taken over by COSF and remade into a celestial dreamland. Guests were awed by the Balmain Opera experience, and the immersive HOXXOH champagne pond, the Desolas Mezcal Monkey Bar, and a galactic garden with magic cocktails by Kuleana Rum. Hendrick’s, Grey Goose AMASS and UME Plum Liqueur were among the liquor sponsors. Paul Fenner Floral Design donated all the floral and decor creating what looked like a million-dollar event. Mohamed Hadid donated HADID Caviar, along with culinary sponsors BOA Steakhouse, Katana Robata, Sushi Roku, and Hideaway Beverly Hills.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has fought to make sure all children have access to the specialized care they need for over a hundred years. This not-for-profit system is consistently ranked among the top children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Children’s provides access to 2,300 pediatric physicians and allied health practitioners across more than 60 pediatric programs, managing over one million patient visits every year.

Children’s Oncology Support Fund’s mission is to fund the development, research, and programs of less toxic therapies for pediatric cancer patients across the nation. COSF supplies grant funding, and pledge funding to donor dependent patient programs in need. COSF works directly with hospitals and established non-profits to build partnerships with its core values in mind; Transparency, community, and relevancy.
