The 2020 GSA BAFTA Student Film Award Winners Announced

The Special Jury Prize Award went to New York University Graduate Laura Zéphirin for her film “Making Waves.

On August 7th 2020, the GSA BAFTA Student Film Awards took place with many well deserved winners accepting their awards virtually from each of their home countries. Although a lot different this year due to the pandemic, the participants were still grateful to be able to share in the celebration with others, even if was only virtually. The digital ceremony was hosted by British actor Elliot Knight known for his work in ‘Color Out Of Space’, ‘American Gothic’ and ‘Titans’.

The GSA BAFTA Student Film Awards is a ceremony which takes place each year honoring student filmmakers from around the world, including countries like Australia, Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. Many incredible submissions are received annually, with each chosen winner being awarded based on the genre and category.
