The 2019 British Academy Brittania Awards

This year’s BAFTA honorees: Jordan Peele, Norman Lear, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Jackie Chan and James Veitch.

This year the British Academy Britannia Awards honored Jackie Chan with the Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment. Other honorees included Norman Lear (for Excellence in Television), Jordan Peele (for Excellence in Directing), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (British Artist of the Year) -and was hosted by James Veitch.

Journalist Piers Morgan spoke about Britain having some of the best actors in the world and how they continue to soar when it comes to their talents -on an international level. Presented by Jaguar, American Airlines and Land Rover North America, the annual British Academy Britannia Awards, celebrate the collaboration and working relationship between the US and UK -which has proven to be yet another big year as the BAFTAS continue their success in Los Angeles.

Some of the night’s other guests included Lupita Nyong’o, Denise Welch, Kerry Washington who presented the award to Norman Lear, singer Samantha Mumba and Hilary Roberts. The Beverly Hilton hosted the awards gala and continues to be the perfect location to hold such an amazing event each year.
