Steadicam Operator Sacha Naceri Continues His Creative Path In Filmmaking

Sacha Naceri is a certified Steadycam operator by the official Garret Brown Steadicam Workshop in Philadelphia. The Steadicam was designed to disconnect the camera operator’s movement from the camera itself. Sacha is a highly experienced Steadicam operator, and he has worked on too many projects to name them all here, but we can talk about some of them. In 2023, Sacha was the Steadicam Operator on the movie “VERMINES” (Vermin), which was Nominated at the Cannes Film Festival for a CESAR in the category of best First Movie. The film was Directed by Sebastien Vanicek and Sacha worked closely with him on the choreography of camera movements in the film.

The Short Film “MAY” was shot in the Netherlands in 2021 and saw Sacha working as the Steadicam operator on it. “MAY” was directed by Madja Amin and once again, Sacha interfaced with the director to map out the best Steadicam movements. The Movie won The GOLDEN CALF LAURÉAT. Being the Steadicam operator means that Sacha cooperates and collaborates with the director on almost every film, music video and/or commercial he is on. He is known for his precision as a Steadicam operator and for bringing out the best look for the actors. He is also praised for being a good listener and as someone who takes the concept of bringing the director’s vision to the screen very seriously.

In 2022, Sacha was the Steadicam operator for The Blaze’s Music Vidéo “DREAMER,” His masterful work enhanced the video’s emotional depth and visual appeal. “DREAMER” was directed by The Blaze and was a Multiple award-winning Director for best Music Videos.

He was the Steadicam operator on Guillaume Alric’s music video “SILENT LOVE” and he contributed to the crafting of the continuous, one-shot, non-stop moving camera sequence. The music Video won the 1.4 AWARD of Brilliant Filmmaking. In 2021 he was also the Steadicam operator on Rosalia’s Music vidéo SAOKO, which was directed by Valentin Petit and produced by Division. It was a highly Collaborate effort with the Director and Sacha on the Artistic camera moves and direction. The video was nominated at the UKMVA MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS for best international pop video. Sacha Naceri is an artist and a highly evolved filmmaker. His camera moves evoke emotions from the viewer as they liberate the storytelling process to a whole new level. When Garrett Brown invented the Steadicam in 1975, he changed the way movies were made. He also won the Academy Award of Merit for the invention and development of Steadicam.
