Richard Marx And Jim Brickman Both Perform An Amazing Show At Thousand Oaks Civic Center, CA
Richard Marx, one of the most successful singer/songwriters of all time, performed an incredible show to a packed out audience at Thousand Oaks Civic Center last Sunday night. To open the show, gold and platinum composer/writer Jim Brickman also performed an amazing medley of some of his most notable work.
Then, as his set finished, an overhead projector could be seen showing images and video footage of Richard Marx, who has not only had 14 number one singles and sold 30 million records, but has also written songs for such artists as: Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, NSync, Keith Urban, Martina McBride and won a Grammy for his song Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross.
The show which featured only Richard on stage playing guitar and grand piano was incredibly entertaining as he belted out some of his biggest hits, including Now and Forever, Angelia (which he performed completely unplugged), Hazard, Right Here Waiting and also a hauntingly brilliant version of the standard Fly Me To The Moon. During the show, he was also joined on stage by two of his talented sons Lucas, Brandon and Jesse Marx, who are also gifted musicians and vocalists of their own.
However, on top of his incredible musical talents, you couldn’t help but laugh at Richard’s witty sense of humor on stage and his rawness with the audience as they cheered on his honesty and bluntness. This was a show that proved that Richard Marx at 54 years old, still looks fantastic and sounds absolutely spot on live!
He also attributes being the father of three sons and his marriage to his gorgeous wife Daisy Fuentes for his happiness and positive outlook on life — as well as the passion they share for helping animals and getting behind worthy causes. This show is a definite must see!
