It has just been announced that BMG has partnered with Live from Daryl’s House -a show that was created by Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates back in 2007. This agreement will include the worldwide rights to 82 of the episodes beginning from 2007 to 2016. Starting out as a web series, the show featured talented artists from around the world performing and being interviewed, as well as cooking segments that became popular among avid music fans tuning in, each week. The show also became a great platform for up and coming artists looking to gain extra exposure.

When asked how he came up with the concept and idea for the show? Daryl Hall said it started out as just a jam session with his friends, but he soon realized he wanted to share it live on the internet with audiences around the world. Hall & Oates who are one of the best-selling duos of all time, with songs such as Man Eater and I Can’t Go for That, continue their success with their current tour alongside Train and the recently released single Philly Forget Me Not which made the Top 10 on the music charts.

The new production for Live from Daryl’s House starts in the fall and will be produced by Daryl Hall and manager Jonathan Wolfson as well as Bob Frank and Joe Thomas of BMG. Domenic Cotter will continue producing the show that will feature more great guests and segments in the series.

This is great news for the music world and also encouraging to know that real music and artists are still being honored and appreciated in the ever changing music industry.
