Katharine McPhee Gives A Compelling Performance In The Lifetime Movie ‘The Lost Wife Of Robert Durst’
From being the runner up on American Idol in 2006, starring in the TV series Smash and Scorpion, to featuring in The House Bunny movie and 5 successful albums later — Katharine McPhee has proved herself to be once again, an all round talent with an amazing performance in the Lifetime movie The Lost Wife Of Robert Durst.
The movie which debuted on the Lifetime channel last night, had Katharine McPhee playing the lead role of Kathy Durst, who falls in love and marries real estate mogul Robert Durst — then ends up being mentally and physically abused by him, while trapped in a web of lies and darkness up until her disappearance in 1982. The movie which also stars Daniel Gillies as Robert Durst was cleverly directed by Yves Simoneau and had all the elements to capture the audience with great acting and the cinematography, which depicted every bit of the 70s/80s era.
Katharine McPhee’s performance stole the show, with her natural, yet convincing performance as Kathy Durst and has proved herself to be one of the most talented and underrated performers of today.
Next up, her newly completed album, I Fall In Love Too Easily featuring romantic standards, is set for a November 17th release. The sky is the limit for this talented beauty!
