Inside The World Of Actor Koushik Chattopadhyay
Some people have the drive and the talent to accomplish many things in their lives. Koushik Chattopadhyay, for example is not only a Medical research scientist, he is also a gifted and working professional actor. He has drive and ambition and an enormous amount of talent that keep him constantly moving forward and constantly improving his acting skills.
He started out in India, where he was born and raised and then earned several advanced degrees and began lecturing. His scientific work brought him to the United States where he worked in Pennsylvania for a short time. He knew early on, however, that his passion was acting and filmmaking so he packed up one day and moved to Los Angeles and threw himself into acting classes and then into getting jobs as an actor. He was successful on both counts and has worked steadily since.
Koushik is also a writer and a producer and he has written, directed and produced four short films: Don’t Be Naughty, President 4Eva, Like Eva, I will Haunt You for Your French Fries and The Last Toilet Roll.
The Last Toilet Roll, by the way, also stars Koushik and it is the story of a dedicated and obedient husband who loves his wife. During a pandemic, however, when all the toilet paper is bought up quickly, leaving the shelves bare, he manages to find the last toilet paper roll in the world. Instead of sharing the precious find with his wife, he decides to keep it all for himself. When she finds out, she flies into a rage and chooses to handle the matter with gun powder. This film is doing very well on the festival circuit.
He has performed in several TV series, most notably, Mani, in which he plays Principal Brock in twelve episodes. He was also featured in Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, in which he is cast as Jamal Muti. He plays a yoga student in the TV series Growth: VR, and he is Buddha in the Morgan Freeman TV series The Story of God. Koushik played the part of Rajeesh in the TV series West Rosencrantz.
The film The Book of the Damned had Koushik playing an archaeologist and he played Dr. Manas Bhattacharya in the movie Junk DNA, which is currently in post-production. Another film in post-production that he is in as the character Tom is Bloody Hands. Koushik is presently in the middle of filming the motion picture Above The High Road. This fast paced story gets to the point about Death after Life. Koushik has produced several films through his own production company, Vatavriksha Productions.
