Hard Work and Dedication Pays off For Acclaimed Actress Holly Caulfield
Some of us are so lucky! We have plenty of time, energy and financial and emotional support to help us chase our goals and to help us make life a little more comfortable than those who don’t have that kind of support system. Some of us, in order to maintain our journey to grasp our dreams have to basically go it alone. Not that one way is better than the other; but there are obvious differences between the two tracks to success that if we could choose, not many of us would pick the one with all the struggles and hardships.
Holly Caulfield is an amazing woman — for many reasons. She fits perfectly into the slot that has had to work hard on her own to eke out relative success while working her way through school, having a child and taking acting classes. She always has a full day of busy-ness. When we asked her if it is worth all of this effort, she didn’t blink an eye as she nodded and answered in the affirmative.
She has been acting since she was four and singing since she was eleven. She acted sporadically when she would return to the UK and Ireland during breaks while attending college in Miami, Florida. She then went back to part time acting courses at age 26 at the Gaiety School of Acting, a drama school located in Temple Bar, Dublin, Ireland and Bow Street Academy, also located in Dublin. She graduated from the Gaiety’s Advanced Theatre Performance Program and Bow Street’s Advanced Screen Acting Course and worked with the world-renowned acting coach Gerry Grennell. According to the Hollywood Reporter Magazine, Irishman Gerry Grennell is “The Special Wizard acting coach who helped shape memorable performances from Heath Ledger, Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac.”
Holly debuted in a short horror film in 2007. After many years of working primarily in theatre she fell in love with film work and continued acting steadily, while juggling college and then a full-time job as a fashion buyer. In 2016, she decided to quit her full-time position and focus solely on acting and committed wholeheartedly to it. Since then, she has booked many jobs, in both supporting and main actor roles. Her film, “At Your Service,” playing the character Jenna, won two awards: The Award of Merit in the Best Shorts competition in 2015 and the IFFCA Award in the International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts Los Angeles in 2015. It was also the nominee for the Jury Prize in the London Independent Film Festival. You can see her show reel on the IMDB website and when you do, you will be watching a very talented and polished actress who is quite comfortable in the world of storytelling.
