From Aussie Soaps To Hollywood Movies -Actor Joshua Diaz

Joshua Diaz is an Australian actor based in Los Angeles who has featured in many renowned films, television series and music videos throughout his exciting career.

Diaz is professionally trained, studying at the Melbourne Actor’s Lab, Anthony Meindl Actors intensive — famous actors that have come out of this program have included Ruby Rose and Shailene Woodley. Diaz is also a scholarship graduate of the Conservatory Program at Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Los Angeles.

Some of Diaz’s credits include a featured role in the acclaimed television series, ‘Neighbours’ -(Australia’s longest running and most popular soap for over 30 years) -it has helped launch the careers of stars like Russell Crowe, Luke Mitchell, Liam Hemsworth, Natalie Imbruglia, Margot Robbie, Kylie Minogue, Holly Valance and Jason Donovan. In feature films, Diaz starred in the projects, ‘The Second Coming of Christ’, ‘Tarnation’, and ’Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ -’Tarnation’ won Best Picture at Monsters Fest 2017. ’Somewhere Over The Rainbow’, directed by Rhiannon Williams was recognized at the International Filmmaker Festival World Cinema, Nice in 2017.

Joshua Diaz’s latest projects showcase his talents on the big screen. He plays the role of Alejandro in the film, ‘Fantasy Island’, also starring Maggie Q, Lucie Hale, Michael Pena, and Jimmy O. Yang — star of Silicon Valley. ‘Fantasy Island’ directed by Jeff Wadlow, is an adaptation of the famed 70s TV show about a magical island resort and is set to be released on valentines day in 2020. The film was shot in Fiji and produced by Blumhouse Productions — famously the studio behind ‘Get Out’, ‘Insidious’,’ Happy Death Day’ and ‘Ma’. In, ‘Straight Up’ the winner of Outfest LA, Diaz captivates the crowd as, Zane, in a romantic comedy with a twist. James Sweeney directed the film, starring Betsy Brandt of ‘Breaking Bad’, and Dana Dori — star of ‘Taken’, ‘The Affair’.

In addition, Diaz is earning praise and recognition for his performance in Jaden Smith’s latest music video,’Riot’ and Conor Maynard’s music video, ‘Not Over You’. Both videos have seen over 2 million views so far and counting.
