You can always tell the difference between an artist who is in it just for the money and one who has a real passion for what she is doing. Estelle Descard, the French make-up artist definitely fits squarely in the latter category. Her motto expresses her holistic and selfless approach to her vocation: “My job is not only to make people look good, but also to make them feel good.

We visited Estelle’s website and were able to see for ourselves just how passionate she is about make-up. Her genius is evident in every model’s face that we saw. The word exquisite comes into play along with several others such as, impeccable, elegant, polished, meticulous, refined and striking. The last word is included because although we knew the young women were wearing make-up, they had the look of being make-up free, which is a striking realization when one thinks about it.

Estelle has learned from the best. She attended BTS Aesthetic Cosmetic Perfume Susini in Aix-en-Provence; Makeup For Ever Academy in Paris, and Airbrush Class at Kimerley Bosso School in Beverly Hills. Her CV is replete with her work in fashion, commercials, television, music, cinema and events.

Her fashion experience is wide-ranging with make-up and hairstyle work in Fashion Week Paris with Heaven Gaia; clothing collection for Heroes Motors in Los Angeles; Make-up artist for the fashion show of the Wedding Salon and Pacs in Paris; New clothing collection Enze Apparel at Venice Beach, California; Make-up for the summer collection Dolce Vita in Santa Barbara, California, and among others, Make-up artist for GALA cover in Paris.

Estelle’s TV work is similar in scope and impressiveness. She was make-up artist for Top Model Belgium in Las Vegas; make-up artist for The Voice in Paris; make-up artist for La Nouvelle Star in Paris and make-up artist for Lecole des Fans in Paris.

Some of the music films Estelle has been the make-up artist are: Tony, directed by Hugo Diego Garcia and among several others, For Sarah’s Love, directed by Frederic Koffman. She has also been the make-up artist for the Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica; make-up artist for Festival de Cannes; make-up artist for the casting of POP! Agency in Los Angeles, to name a few. Estelle splits her professional time between Paris and Los Angeles along with make-up stopovers in Sydney, Australia.
