Celebrate the Holidays with Pia Toscano at The Sorting Room in Beverly Hills December 9th
Pia Toscano has been winning in more ways than one. Inspired by the likes of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion, Pia first graced us with her incredible voice back in 2011 on the tenth season of American Idol –however it was her elimination from the show, that not only shocked fans, but also the judges including Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez (who later asked her to be a backing singer on her six-date tour) –and also, where she happened to meet and later marry — dancer and choreographer Jimmy R.O Smith. The couple married earlier this year and Pia was featured on Entertainment Tonight, wearing a stunning ‘Grecian style’ wedding gown designed by Michael Costello.
Over the years, there have been other artists including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Katharine McPhee who have launched successful careers from American Idol — while there were others who have struggled to sustain a lasting one. Proving her destiny was to do remarkable things in music, Pia has established a successful career for herself, including releasing the single ‘This Time’ under Interscope records in 2011. Although she parted ways with the label, she continued her success appearing on shows like Regis and Kelly, The Tonight Show and Dancing with the Stars among many others. In addition, she has been a regular at the Los Angeles Kings games singing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ before their home games.
However, it was Pia’s powerhouse performances alongside legendary producer David Foster this year — and her renditions of ‘All By Myself’ and ‘The Power of Love’ (made famous by Celine Dion) that reminded the world, what an incredibly talented vocalist she really is.
On top of her busy schedule, Pia was also part of a recent campaign as one of the models for Jluxabel Clothing Brand, featuring on their official website and social media pages. She has also released an EP entitled ‘Belong’ available on itunes which features the hauntingly beautiful ‘Pyro’ and ‘You’ll Be King’.
For those wishing to capture the magic of Pia’s voice in person, she will be performing at The Sorting Room presented by The Wallis in Beverly Hills on December 9 –where she will sing some originals and holiday favorites, which will no doubt, be amazing.
We couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of all this success than this down to earth Italian girl from New York. Her hard work has clearly paid off!
