The Children’s Oncology Support Fund (COSF) — founded by film producer and philanthropist Thomas Pierce has announced that television personality, cancer survivor, entrepreneur and fitness educator Brooke Burke will host this spectacular event that is generously supported by Presenting Sponsor Balmain. The star-studded evening will support COSF’s dedication to the development of more effective therapies for pediatric cancer patients and will also include event vice chairs businessman and philanthropist. Barron N. Hilton and model Tessa Hilton, along with live music, cocktails and DJ Ruckus.

Thomas Pierce has said that after the success of the Aspen Snow Ball, Children’s Oncology Support Fund is incredibly proud to host the inaugural Zodiac Ball in Los Angeles. Mr. Pierce went on to say that, “We are honored to raise awareness and funding for donor dependent programs supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families.”

The ball will support COSF’s dedication to the development of more effective therapies for pediatric cancer patients, with proceeds from the event benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Katie Miller, Development Director, Major Giving at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation said that it is indeed a great honor to partner with COSF. The proceeds from this collaboration will provide Music Therapy, Artist in Residence programs, and Child Life Zone services to kids facing cancer and other illnesses or injuries, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation extends their deepest gratitude to COSF for helping make this possible. She also said that these gifts will be utilized during the inaugural year of Children’s new campus opening in September 2024. It features the Arthur M. Balmain, the luxury fashion house, is the evening’s presenting sponsor. Pierre Balmain founded his haute couture fashion house over seventy-five years ago in Paris and he was among the new wave of fashion designers that revitalized French couture after World War Two. His designs were and are known for elegance and sophistication and they ushered in the mid-century golden age of couture and re-established Paris as the world’s fashion capital. Balmain personally saw dressmaking as “The Architecture of Movement.”

Since 2011, Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing has been inventively building upon Pierre Balmain’s extraordinary legacy, while always remaining true to his own determination to design clothes that reflect the way his inclusive, powerful, and global Balmain Army wishes to live today. The result is a unique and instantly recognizable Balmain silhouette, style and attitude that highlights the singular craftsmanship of the house’s celebrated ateliers, while consistently referencing a rich Parisian heritage.

For well over a hundred years, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has fought to help make sure all children have access to the specialized care they need. While exceptional care is commonplace with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the not-for-profit system has also advanced the field of pediatrics through groundbreaking research and clinical trials. The lifesaving medical programs offered have helped treat kids with complex childhood illnesses from all around the world. U.S. News & World Report has consistently ranked Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta among the top children’s hospitals. Access is provided to 2,300 pediatric physicians and allied health practitioners across more than 60 pediatric programs, managing over one million patient visits every year.

The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is one of the top programs at Children’s. It remains a national leader in pediatric cancer and blood disorders treatment and research, and is one of the largest pediatric cancer programs in the country. Each child’s unique needs are treated compassionately and a special treatment plan is developed for the whole child and family, starting from day one.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s commitment to providing the best care possible to each and every patient is proud to offer a variety of family support services, including Music Therapy, Artist in Residence program, and Child Life programming. Each of these services would not be possible without the generous support of the community of donors like COSF, who join us in our mission to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow.
