Some humans are so lucky. They are members of a small handful of people on the planet who know what they want to do with their lives at a very early age. Zara Dimmock, the extremely talented Australian dancer, is one of those fortunate ones, who, in her case, knew that she wanted to be a professional dancer when she was only five years old. Her love for dancing and performance led her to immerse herself in concentrating on and training in dance for the next 16 years of her life. She also finished regular school, which was important to her.

Now, at the age of 21, Zara can rightfully claim that she is one of the most sought-after dancers in Australia and she has an extraordinary resumé to prove it. She won a Scholarship to the prestigious Brent Street Academy, where she was an honor roll graduate and earned an Advanced Diploma in Dance (Focusing on Performing Arts). She is such a talented dancer that she was invited to teach there and at other New South Wales dance studios. Since being scouted by some Los Angeles choreographers while at a convention in Sydney, she has been to Los Angeles three times. She has worked with some of the big names in dance and choreography such as, Kiel Tutin, Robbie Blue, Janelle Ginestra, Zachary Venegas and Todd Williamson.

For representation, Zara signed with Focus Talent Management in Sydney in 2021 and with America’s leading talent agency BLOC LA in 2023 after her last trip to the states. Bloc is a talent agency representing creative directors, choreographers, dancers, singers, actors and specialty talent for feature film, episodic television, commercials, live stage, Broadway, industrials, music videos, and print. Zara will be making the move to the states in 2024.

Zara is a busy dancer and choreographer. Some of her Film and Television dance and choreography work is as follows:

In 2023 Jessica Mauboy’s music video ‘Flashback,’ will be released shortly; again in 2023, Zara was a dancer in Tones & I music video ‘The Greatest;’ Also in 2023 she was the assistant choreographer for ‘The Voice’ for Disney Studios; In 2022 she worked on Tia Lee’s music video; She also worked on International Kpop, Jam Republic Agency, with Kiel Tutin. In 2021 Zara was a featured dancer in the TV commercial Nova Fm Red Engine, and in 2020 she was the featured dancer for Sunrise News, at Australian Broadcasting. Zara has also performed on Stage and Theatre shows.

In 2023 she was in the closing ceremony with Tones and I at the Women’s World Cup-FIFA, in front of a massive crowd of 80000. She helped celebrate Australian World Pride with headliner Nicole Scherzinger, New Ground Collective, World Pride Mardi Gras. She also worked with Todd Williamson in 2023 with Karol G. Choreography Crew, to name just a few. The last couple of years have been quite busy for Zara and it looks like it’s getting even busier for her this year. She is a dancer in the upcoming movie with Rebel Wilson, which will be Rebel’s directorial debut. It will be released in 2024.
