Art Garfunkel Talks About His New Book ‘Was It All But Luminous -Notes From An Underground Man’ at Grand Performances in LA
Scripps Presents and Grand Performances presented an exciting event back in October with special guest Art Garfunkel. Art shared stories and some insight into his music career, as well as his thoughts on staying uplifted and how important his family is, in his new book ‘What Is It All But Luminous- Notes From An Underground Man’. Also, what others may not know, Art Garfunkel happens to also have a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Columbia University on top of his incredible musical talents.
Art Garfunkel was part of one of the most successful musical groups of all time, the six-time Grammy winning Simon & Garfunkel alongside Paul Simon from 1963 to 1970. Known for some of the biggest masterpieces in music ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Mrs Robinson’, ‘Wake Up Little Susie’ and others, their music has carried on through generations and paved the way for so many other musicians and artists all over the world. Art Garfunkel was happy to answer questions and give some honest words to guests in the audience who were able to ask him a question. The audience included anyone from their early 20's up into their 70's+ who shared their own stories with him and how his music has changed their lives — and proving just how timeless Simon & Garfunkel is.
‘Was It All But Luminous- Notes From An Underground Man’ is a fun and inspirational book definitely worth the read! Thanks to Scripps Presents and Grand Performances for the opportunity.
